Background

Gallego & Co. (G&Co.) was originally founded in New York City in 2007 by Arthur Gallego, a well-regarded consumer packaged goods (CPG) executive. Gallego’s expertise includes food & beverage, cosmetics & fragrance, hospitality, real estate marketing, and publishing & media, but the consultancy’s focus today is CPG.

In 2018, G&Co. relocated its operations to Southern California, and continues to work with emerging and established food & beverage brands on both coasts. Arthur Gallego often advises start-ups in a fractional chief marketing officer capacity (CMO), sharing his broad expertise across branding, packaging, marketing and go-to-market strategies.

Most recently (from 2020-2022), Gallego worked as start-up CEO for the ready-to-drink cocktail brand SunDaze, incubating the brand and bringing it to market for a venture capital studio. (Please visit the SunDaze link for more information).

Of note is G&Co.’s extensive work within the beverage industry. Gallego helped launch the Vita Coco brand in 2004 and provided strategy and counsel for the brand until 2021, before the company’s public listing. Additionally, G&Co. has worked with nearly every popular beverage category on store shelves today, granting him tangible insights across most beverage categories – from product development, manufacturing, day-to-day operations, and all marketing functions.

Gallego is a sought after expert in consumer-related food & beverage trends. He is a contributor for British consumer insights firm Canvas8 and regularly shares his perspective in the media, with analysts, and research organizations. His insights have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and on CBS News, MSNBC, and CNN. He also served as a guest judge on the British version of “The Apprentice” judging what else – beverage.

Arthur Gallego

Arthur Gallego is a c-suite level executive with experience as both a CMO and since 2020, a start-up CEO. His skill set and experience make him one of the most well-rounded CPG executives working today, and he is most-recognized for his strategic planning and communications expertise.

Starting his career in San Francisco, Gallego worked in restaurant hospitality marketing and opened restaurant properties in San Francisco, Napa Valley, Vancouver BC, and Singapore. He later relocated to New York and built a successful career in CPG, starting in cosmetics and fragrance. Gallego’s career evolved into real estate marketing before coming full circle and returning to food & beverage through his work with brands like Vita Coco, Health-Ade, OLIPOP and Bulletproof 360.

Gallego has lived and worked on both the West and East Coasts, and in Paris. His global experience includes work in Europe and the Asia Pacific region. He is a recognized marketing and American pop culture authority who has been interviewed by media outlets in the US, UK and Europe. Gallego has also worked with a diverse range of talent including music and fashion icon Rihanna, models and businesswomen Elle Macpherson, Chrissy Teigen, Iman and Isabella Rossellini, actor Channing Tatum, fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, and iconic chef, TV personality and cookbook author Julia Child.
